Kate Winslet is getting candid about her divorces — by saying the breakups have actually helped her kids learn how to deal with life's imperfections.
"I think it’s very important to teach your children to struggle on some level," the mom-of-three, 39, said in a new interview.

The Oscar-winning actress was first married to film director Jim Threapleton — with whom she has a daughter Mia, 14 — from 1998 - 2001. Following their separation, Kate wed director Sam Mendes in 2003 and they had a son, Joe, 11, in 2003. They later split in 2011.

"I would honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing. Even all the bad bits. It doesn’t matter how [terrible] times have been, they all matter, because those things shape who you are," she continued.

"And if you don’t like who you are, well, then you’re [screwed] really, aren’t you?" Kate told 'Harper's Bazaar.'
In December 2012, Kate exchanged vows for a third time with Ned Rocknroll. The couple welcomed a son, Bear Blaze, in 2013.

In November 2011, the 'Titanic' star similarly denied her past failed relationships would have any sort of negative affect on her children.
"There's no way that I'm going to allow my children to be f---ed up because my marriages haven't worked out," she told 'Harper's Bazaar UK.' "I so wish that that wasn't the case, that that hadn't happened in my life, but it has. So I will make the best of it."
