New details of Halle Berry's continued messy relationship with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry have emerged this week with the actress now reportedly trying to reduce her child support payments.
According to a new report, the 'Monster's Ball' star, 48, is seeking to dimish her monthly payments to Gabriel, the father of her six-year-old daughter, Nahla, from about $16,000 to $3,800.
But the model, 39, is allegedly claiming he needs more money from the star because he has been unable to book new modeling gigs due to a violent brawl with Halle's current husband, Olivier Martinez, on Thanksgiving Day 2012.
Halle's lawyer, however, shot back at the model's accusations by asserting Gabriel, whom she dated from 2005 - 2010, uses her child support payments to finance his fitness, clothing and electronics purchases, car expenses and health insurance.
"There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns," the actress said in the report.
Though the Oscar winner and Gabriel never married, they were together for four years and welcomed Nahla in 2008. After a long custody battle following their split, the former couple now shares 50/50 visitation with their daughter.
Halle is now married to Olivier, a French actor. She gave birth to their son, Maceo-Robertin October 2013.
