Who you gonna call to be in the new Ghostbusters movie? Dan Aykroyd!
On Tuesday, the 63-year-old actor — who starred as Dr. Raymond Stantz in the original Ghostbusters film — announced he will appear in the upcoming all-female reboot of the hit 1984 flick about an eccentric group of friends who start a ghost-catching business in NYC.

"On GB set shooting my scene with funny beatutiful Kristen Wiig," his Tweet began. "Lady GB's are adorable, hilarious and bad-ss exhilarating! #ghostbusters."

Though Dan deleted the message from his Twitter account just two hours after posting it to the micro-blogging site, Entertainment Weekly later confirmed the news of his cameo with his rep.

While there is no official word yet on who the former Saturday Night Live star will be portraying in the highly-anticipated remake, comediennes Melissa McCarthy, 44, Kristen Wiig, 41, Leslie Jones, 47, and Kate McKinnon, 31, have already signed on to star in the movie.
The original Ghostbusters starred Bill Murray, 64, Dan, Ernie Hudson, 69 and Harold Ramis, who passed away in February 2014 at age 69. The new movie, directed by Bridesmaids' creator Paul Feig, is set to hit theaters in July 2016.
