Alec Baldwin and Wife Hilaria Are a Match Made in Heaven! See the Couple’s Marriage Timeline

2011

While both were separately dining at Pure Food and Wine restaurant in New York City in 2011, the actor spotted the yoga instructor. According to the NY Times, the comedian went up to her and said, “I must know you,” and handed her his business card. A few days later, his future wife called and a date was arranged.

June 2011

It wasn’t long after the two met that they began dating exclusively. At the 65th Annual Tony Awards in June 2011, Alec and Hilaria confirmed their status as a couple when they stepped out holding hands.

April 2012

The It’s Complicated star proved he was more serious than ever when he got down on one knee and asked for Hilaria’s hand in marriage in April 2012.

“Yes, it’s true! Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we’re all excited for the newly-engaged couple,” his rep told People at the time. “Alec’s birthday is tomorrow – great way to celebrate!”

June 2012

Just two months later, Hilaria became Mrs. Baldwin when duo married at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City. Some of the pair’s celebrity friends were in attendance, including Tina Fey, Woody Allen and Lorne Michaels.

August 2013

A little over a year after they walked down the aisle, Alec and Hilaria welcomed their first child together, Carmen Gabriela Baldwin, on August 23, 2013.

June 2015

In the summer of 2015, the pair gave birth to baby No. 2 and their first son, Rafael Thomas Baldwin. The little tot arrived on June 17.

September 2016

Alec and Hilaria gave their two little ones a brother when their third child, Leonardo Angel Charles, arrived on September 12, 2016.

May 2018

On May 17, 2018, the lovebirds expanded their brood when son Romeo Alejandro David was born.

April 2019

After becoming the loving mom and dad of four kids, Hilaria and Alec were thrilled to find out they were pregnant with baby No. 5 in early 2019. Tragically, the Spanish actress suffered a miscarriage in April.

“I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss. I think it’s important to show the truth … because my job is to help people by being real and open.”

Days later, the mourning mama confirmed there was “no heartbeat” during a scan at the doctor’s office. “But I have some pretty strong and amazing heartbeats right here,” she noted of her kids. “I am surrounded by such love and I feel so fortunate.”

November 2019

In September 2019, Hilaria revealed they were once again pregnant with baby No. 5. However, two months later, she broke fans’ hearts when she announced suffered a second miscarriage..

“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at four months,” she candidly penned on social media. “We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our four healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this.”

April 2020

All of the duo’s hopes and dreams were answered when they revealed the exciting news of their pregnancy in April 2020. The mom of four was overwhelmed with joy after losing two babies in the last year.

“Sound up … I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” she marveled next to a video of her lying down at the doctor’s office. “Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again.”

Although Hilaria can’t wait for baby No. 5 to finally arrive, she said it’s always a little “emotional” when she thinks about Romeo no longer being the “smallest in the family.”

“Romeo, however, is prepared like no other baby to be a big brother,” she wrote in July. “Because he is firmly against the idea that he is actually a baby.”

September 2020

The couple welcomed baby No. 5 on September 8, 2020. “We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier,” she wrote about their new son, Eduardo.

March 2021

Alec and Hilaria gave fans the surprise of a lifetime when they announced they expanded their family in March 2021. The couple welcomed their sixth child, a daughter named Lucia, just months after their son Eduardo Pau arrived in September 2020.

The “Mom Brain” podcast host shared the exciting news on Instagram. Alongside a photo holding the newborn as her older kids, Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo, cuddled around, Hilaria wrote “7” in the caption, seemingly referring to the total number of kids in their blended family, including Alec’s daughter Ireland.
