Since Hilaria Baldwin and husband Alec Baldwin welcomed baby No. 5, fans have been dying to know the meaning behind the tot’s name. Following the birth, the Saturday Night Live star and his yoga instructor wife revealed they gave their kiddo the sweet moniker, Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin.

“Born September 8, 2020, at 7:46 p.m. He weighed seven pounds [and] eight ounces,” Hilaria, 36, announced alongside a photo of the beautiful newborn just two days after his arrival. “His name means ‘wealthy guardian of peace and light.’ We love you, baby Edu.”

Aside from their new family member, Alec, 62, and Hilaria — who tied the knot in 2012 — also share their older daughter Carmen, 6, and sons Rafael, 5, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 2. Throughout her pregnancy, the doting mom gave updates on her journey and revealed how thrilled her kiddos were to get a baby sibling.

“She was feeling the baby move,” the Living Clearly Method author wrote alongside a photo of her eldest child snuggling her baby bump in May. “[Carmen was] having a whole convo about how she is so excited to be a big sister again.”

Even Romeo was “prepared like no other baby” for taking on his first-ever role of being a big brother. “He is firmly against the idea that he is actually a baby,” Hilaria explained via Instagram.

The birth of Hilaria and Alec’s new baby comes five months after she announced they were expecting their fifth child in April. At the time, the yoga guru — who suffered miscarriages in April 2019 and November 2019 — was overwhelmed with joy after receiving the good news of her pregnancy.

“Sound up … I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” she captioned a video of her lying down at the doctor’s office. “Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again.”

Shortly after losing her second pregnancy late last year, the Spanish actress praised fans for the endless love support. She also credited the Beetlejuice actor and their beloved children for helping her cope with the heartbreaking tragedy.

“Little update: I’m doing better,” she penned in November. “I have my moments when I feel better, then I have moments when I will get really sad. But I feel like time and healing and everyone’s support is helping me.”

“Spending time with my babies and husband helps so much,” the brunette beauty continued. “I’m so lucky to have them.”

We can’t wait to watch little Edu grow up!
