Meet Alec Baldwin and Wife Hilaria’s Kids: Inside the Couple’s Blended Family

Alec Baldwin has had quite the successful Hollywood career with big-time movies and a long-running gig on Saturday Night Live, but the actor’s children will always take precedence over his showbiz career. Alec’s blended family includes his eldest daughter, Ireland, and his younger kids, Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, Lucia and Ilaria with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin.

On March 29, 2022, Hilaria shared a video on Instagram to announce that the Baldwin family was expanding. In the clip, Alec and his wife were seen telling their other children that they are expecting their seventh child together. 

“After many ups and downs over the past few years, we have an exciting up and a huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall,” the podcast host captioned the post. “We were pretty sure our family was complete, and we’re beyond happy with this surprise. I’m sharing with you the moment we told the kids — as you can see, they are super excited! Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives.”

The fitness guru went on to say that their youngest bundle of joy was “a blessing and a gift during such uncertain times.” She previously announced that she was taking a break from social media but would pop in from time to time to keep her fans updated with small glimpses into her life. Their seventh child together, daughter Ilaria, was born in September 2022. 

A few weeks after announcing that he and his wife were expecting their seventh child together, Alec shared a video of Lucia on Instagram, addressing questions as to why they decided to expand their family once more. The caption read, “People ask why. This is why. Being a parent is the ultimate journey.” In the video, the Emmy winner can be heard behind the camera as his little one giggled.

Back in 1993, the Departed star married actress Kim Basinger and just two years later, the pair welcomed their only child together, Ireland. However, Alec and the 9½ Weeks actress’ marriage didn’t work out and they divorced in 2002.

Alec eventually settled down again after meeting his second wife, Hilaria, in 2011. Nearly one year later, the couple tied the knot during a romantic wedding ceremony in June 2012.

Throughout the years of their marriage, the 30 Rock actor and the yoga instructor expanded his family. In 2013, they welcomed their eldest daughter, Carmen, followed by son Rafael in 2015. Alec and Hilaria also became the parents of son Leonardo the following year in 2016, and son Romeo in 2018.

Two years later, the “Mom Brain” podcast host — who suffered two miscarriages throughout 2019 — gave birth to Eduardo in 2020. The SAG Award winner and the actress then surprised the world when they announced they welcomed their sixth child, a daughter named Lucia, in March 2021.

Prior to welcoming both Edu and their latest little one, Alec jokingly told People he wasn’t “up for the challenge” of being a dad again. “When my kids graduate school, I’ll be 85,” he said through laughs in March 2019.

Plus, the It’s Complicated star teased he might have to start worrying about his cash flow. In December 2018, he hilariously told Seth Meyers he makes “no money” because all of his funds are used to “cover hotel bills” for his family because his kids love to drink “$20 orange juice at the Beverly Hotel.”

“I got to work forever now, know what I mean?” he said.
