Hilaria Baldwin and Husband Alec Baldwin Welcome Baby No. 5: ‘We Couldn’t Be Happier’

Congratulations! Hilaria Baldwin and husband Alec Baldwin welcomed their fifth child together. The proud mom announced the exciting news on Instagram just one day after their baby boy’s arrival.

“We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier,” the 36-year-old gushed on Wednesday, September 9. “Stay tuned for a name.”

Baby No. 5’s birth comes one year after the mom of five suffered two miscarriages in 2019. Although Hilaria said she was “devastated” by the experience, the yoga instructor found out she was expecting another child in April 2020.

“Sound up … I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” she gushed on Instagram next to a video of her getting an ultrasound. “Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again.”

Since she announced her little one’s arrival, Hilaria’s 6-year-old daughter, Carmen, has been feeling her mother’s stomach every chance she gets. “[Carmen was] having a whole convo about how she is so excited to be a big sister again,” the fitness guru said on Instagram at the time. In fact, Carmen was so curious about Hilaria’s pregnancy that she kept asking her mother “how babies are made.”

“I need advice,” the Living Clearly Method author told her fans on Instagram on June 8. “Carmen is super fascinated with how babies are made. I used to be able to get out of getting into too much by asking her what she thinks … and then she will lose interest. [But] now she is very much asking for a straight forward answer.”

Although Hilaria didn’t say how she plans on having this conversation with her little girl or her other kids — Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 2 — she did tell Us Weekly that she may not be through with having more children.

“At this point, who knows?” she told the outlet on April 9 when asked if there are still plans to expand their family. “I don’t know. I’ve learned that I thought I was gonna have one kid and now, all of [a] sudden, I have a gigantic brood, so who knows?” For now, Hilaria might just focus on being the best mom she can be.
