Alec and Hilaria Baldwin Expecting Baby Number 5: ‘There Is a Little Person Inside Me’
So exciting! Hilaria Baldwin has revealed that she and her husband, Alec Baldwin, are expecting baby number five — this after suffering a miscarriage earlier this year.
The 35-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday, September 18, to share the joyful news. “It is still very early … but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me,” the yoga instructor wrote alongside a clip the unborn baby’s heart beating. “The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy — especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring. We want to share this news as we are excited and don’t want to hide the pregnancy. These first few months are tough with exhaustion and nausea … and I don’t want to have to pretend that I feel ok.”
Hilaria continued, “My one request is that the media not send paparazzi to follow me or buy independent paparazzi photos, hence encouraging them. I want to remain peaceful during this very early time in my pregnancy and getting chased around by cameras is not in the doctor’s orders.”
The happy couple — who tied the knot in 2012 — already have four children: daughter Carmen, 6, and sons Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1. The actor, 61, also has another child, Ireland Baldwin, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
Earlier this year, Alec and Hilaria sadly revealed that they lost a baby — they shared the news on April 4 in an emotional Instagram post.
“I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss,” she wrote on the social media platform alongside a photo of herself in her underwear cradling a small bump. “I think it’s important to show the truth … because my job is to help people by being real and open.”
The author continued, saying that she always wants to be honest with her fans. “I have always been so open with you all about my family, fitness, pregnancies … and I don’t want to keep this from you, just because it isn’t as positive and shiny as the rest,” she said.
