Jim Stuckey says he felt and looked older than his 55 years after retiring from the NFL and packing on excess weight.
So Jim — who played in Super Bowl XVI and Super Bowl XIX with the San Francisco 49ers — decided to set out on a weight loss journey by following Nutrisystem's diet and exercise plans. He has since shed 50 pounds in four months!
"Making the decision to start was the toughest part, [but] once I got started and saw the results weekly, it was easy," the Cayce, S.C., native exclusively told 'Closer.' "[Now], I feel good and people say I look good, too!"

- What was your life like before the weight loss?
Having an extra 50 pounds on me slowed me down. After so many years in the NFL, I could really feel the weight on my joints.
- How did you lose the weight?
Nutrisystem was simple! I ordered my food and spoke to my coach. It was delivered to my door and I was on my way to losing weight. I am an avid golfer. My exercise comes from walking the course. As far as foods, I began to learn [portion control] and ate in moderation.

- How does it feel now that you've lost the weight?
I feel good and people say I look good, too! I am back to my playing weight but hey, that doesn’t mean I am going to [return to] the field anytime soon.
- What advice would you give to any men who are struggling with their weight but might be unsure where to start?
I say do It! Take the first step and decide to lose the weight today. Give yourself credit for small wins every week. Choose a healthy and simple program. Nutrisystem came right to my door — there was no counting, no weighing, no measuring. All I had to do was eat. A great day to start is the day after the Super Bowl — we call it "Super Monday!"
