My life was full of excuses. I would find reasons to stay home because I never felt cute or comfortable. Things that should have been enjoyable weren't fun for me because I hated myself. I was always tired and felt like the only thing people saw when they looked at me was my weight. It was depressing. It wasn't until I got engaged that I decided if I didn't lose weight for my wedding it wasn't going to ever happen.

I tried other diet plans, but never saw the results I was hoping for. It wasn't until I found Personal Trainer Food that I finally got the support and motivation I needed. While on the program, I completely cut carbs, sugar and alcohol from my diet for three months. I basically ate just protein and veggies for 90 days. I was immediately surprised at how fast my stomach shrank and how I really started to crave healthier foods. When I was overweight, I would be exhausted just playing with my dog or carrying groceries inside, so I decided to start taking the stairs at work to increase my physical activity. The first week I walked from the fourth floor, down to the basement and back up. Week by week, I added an extra level and soon I was taking the stairs down to the basement and walking all the way up to the 14th floor. Exercising got easier and easier.

It was hard for me to maintain my lifestyle while trying to stick to the program. Anytime my fiancé and I would hang out with friends, we were always eating and drinking. It was difficult to learn how to go out without always eating and have a good time out without drinking.
I feel 100 times better than I ever have now that I have lost the weight — physically, emotionally, mentally, everything for me has changed for the better. I am on my way to hit my goal of losing 100 pounds and am so excited to continue this journey. My advice to others trying to lose weight is to find what motivates you. Find ways to reward yourself that don't involve food and alcohol. Get support where you can. Ask your friends to work out or go on walks with you. It's possible. It's doable. Believe in yourself.
