Accusations of elder abuse against Casey Kasem's widow, Jean Kasem, have been submitted to the LA County District Attorney by the LAPD, a new report states.
The investigation of Jean, 59, was reportedly launched after Casey's three children from his first marriage filed a police report claiming she caused the star to get an infection that contributed to his death.

Casey's eldest children — he also has a daughter, Liberty, from his marriage with Jean — have been fighting for a full autopsy to be performed on their father's body with the hope the results may prove Jean abused their father. So far, she has resisted all of their requests.

This is just the latest update in a long battle between Jean and her three stepchildren since the 'American Top 40' star's death at age 82 on June 15. Most recently, a judge ruled Jean has the legal right to bury Casey's body wherever she chooses.

Following the radio DJ's death, Casey's wife of 34 years flew her late husband's remains from Gig Harbor, Wash., to Montreal, Canada and then Oslo, Norway, where his body continues to be stored. Casey's children are still fighting for their father's body to be brought back to the U.S. so they can bury him in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burbank, Calif.
"Anybody who knows my dad knew he wanted to be buried in Forest Lawn," Casey's daughter Kerri Kasem, 42, told 'Closer.' "My father [had] never been to Norway!"
