Princess Diana was far from forgotten during Princess Charlotte's christening!
On Sunday, July 5, Kate Middleton and Prince William's two-month-old daughter was baptized at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene at Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England. And though she sadly never met her granddaughter, Diana — who died in a 1997 car crash at age 36 — was honored at the royal affair in many ways.

First, the church where Charlotte — whose middle name is Diana — was christened is also where the People's Princess was baptized on Aug. 30, 1961.
Additionally, Diana's niece Laura Fellowes was named one of Charlotte's five godparents shortly before the ceremony. Laura's mother, Cynthia Jane Fellowes, is one of Diana's older sisters.

And finally, Princess Diana's favorite photographer, Mario Testino, was on hand at the event — also attended by the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Carole Middleton, Michael Middleton, Pippa Middleton and Prince George — to commemorate the christening with official portraits of the royal family.
