Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may no longer be married, but the former couple feels lucky to have created a beautiful family of three kids. Since the Hollywood exes called it quits in 2015, they have continued to be model coparents to their beloved children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

Ben and the 13 Going on 30 star’s love story began when they tied the knot in 2005. The former duo started their family when they welcomed their eldest daughter, Violet, in 2005, followed by their second daughter, Seraphina, in 2009. Jen and Ben completed their brood when their youngest son, Samuel, arrived in 2012.

Sadly, the ex-lovebirds split in June 2015 following 10 years of marriage. However, it turns out that they’re doing a great job when it comes to coparenting their kids as they’ve put their differences aside for the sake of Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

“The kids are their No. 1 priority, and they’re both amazing, hands-on parents,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly in February 2020. “They’re getting a lot better these days and are in a great place, which makes coparenting so much easier.”

Even though the A-listers have moved on in their romantic lives — Jen has been linked to off-and-on boyfriend John Miller, while Ben was dating ex Ana De Armas — their roles as coparents will always be important. Aside from “[going] to each other’s houses [to] catch up over coffee,” Ben and Jen have also been spotted countless times at church and on other outings with their kiddos.

It seems the Good Will Hunting alum and the Alias actress are doing everything they can to be the best dad and mom, and there’s no doubt it’s paying off. “Despite everything Ben and Jen have been through, the kids couldn’t be more grounded,” a separate source previously revealed to Closer in December 2019. “Violet, Seraphina and Samuel are so well-behaved and polite.”

The source noted their children aren’t even phased by their parents’ fame and fortune. “While Ben and Jen are Hollywood royalty, they’re determined to give their brood a normal, stable upbringing,” the insider explained. “The kids are lucky enough to grow up in luxury surroundings but aren’t overly spoiled.”
