Mom of two Jennifer Love Hewitt wants her fans to know she’s still struggling to get the hang of homeschooling daughter Autumn and son Atticus. The Ghost Whisperer star shared a funny and super relatable video while preparing to teach her children at home on Tuesday, May 12.

“OK … time to start school,” the 41-year-old beauty said in a video she shared via her Instagram Stories. Jennifer looked totally drained as she joked about dreading another day of playing teacher in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“School is in session,” she continued as Autumn, 6, and Atticus, 4, could be heard causing a ruckus in the background, before hilariously adding, “Help!”

The I Know What You Did Last Summer actress — who shares her kids with longtime husband Brian Hallisay – first opened up about her homeschooling struggles while virtually appearing on The Talk in early April.

“I was really frustrated at first, to be honest, [on] just how to do [it],” she explained to cohosts Sharon OsbourneMarie OsmondCarrie Ann InabaSheryl Underwood and Eve. “I couldn’t figure out if I had to teach them the way their teacher was teaching them, or teach them in a strict way or whatever.”

Jennifer said being a teacher to Autumn and Atticus got a little easier after a “friend” gave her some beneficial advice. “[She] was like, ‘Look, this is your opportunity to teach your kids your way,'” the doting mama recalled. “‘Nobody’s doing anything in the world right now the way that they normally do it.'”

Since she took her pal’s words to heart, Jennifer noticed a positive outcome. “My daughter said to me yesterday, ‘Hey mom, do you think you could maybe come and be a teacher at my school when this is over?’” she sweetly revealed. “It meant a lot to me.”

In order to keep Autumn and Atticus focused on their schoolwork, Jennifer has been incorporating her own approach. “The point is for them to laugh and have fun and to learn,” the Client List actress insisted. “So we’ve really made it our own thing.”

When they’re done with school for the day, Jennifer noted she makes sure to keep her kiddos entertained with fun activities. In late April, the 9-1-1 star gave fans a glimpse inside an “art project with the kids.”

The brunette beauty showed off the colorful artwork her brood created thanks to poster board, cotton balls and paint. “40 minutes of fun and creativity!” Jennifer wrote in the caption.

Stay safe, mama!
