TV host Kelly Ripa revealed she turned her kitchen into a home hair salon. The Live With Kelly and Ryan star said she was forced to chop her own tresses while in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I’m not going to lie, I cut my own hair,” Kelly, 49, hilariously shared on the Monday, April 20 episode of the hit morning show, pointing out the savvy way she got rid of some dead ends while stuck at home with husband Mark Consuelos and kids Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 17.

“I used kitchen scissors. We obviously don’t have haircutting scissors. I cut my own hair. I didn’t cut bangs, because that’s … ,” the All My Children alum continued alongside husband Mark, 49, as he filled in for Live cohost Ryan Seacrest.

“I would have stopped you!” the Riverdale actor chimed in. “I didn’t say anything, but I was ready to jump in case you went across the bang.”

Kelly’s homemade transformation seemed to inspire her handsome hubby considering Mark also showed off some new facial hair while joining his wife for the at-home hosting gig. The Nine Lives actor debuted a thick mustache and revealed the look was inspired by his father.

“My dad had a mustache. And he still does,” Mark explained. “Growing up, I think he shaved it once and my mom made him grow it back. Because he had a lot of space between his nose and his top lip.”

Although he said his wife was a fan of the fluffy ‘stache, Mark stated their three kids aren’t too fond of his new look. “They say I look like an aging porn star,” the doting dad jokingly confessed.

Since the longtime couple —who walked down the aisle in 1996 — have been in quarantine with their family, Kelly has given fans insight on how she’s adjusted her routine. In fact, the blonde beauty previously said she’s been forced to borrow items from daughter Lola’s wardrobe because her studio at Live “is closed because of” coronavirus.

“All of my clothes, all of my hair products and all of my makeup is locked in the studio,” she shared while chatting with dancer Tiler Peck on Instagram Live on April 19, pointing out the clever way she’s staying bronzed and beautiful. ”I keep putting on my daughter’s self-tanner, thinking that will help.”

The Hope and Faith actress even mentioned how Lola was helping her mom look her best while hosting Live at home. “My daughter learned how to do my hair using the tie of your bathrobe,” Kelly said as she showed off her sexy beach waves on April 14. “She watched a TikTok video on how to do hair by wrapping your hair around the bathrobe tie … and my daughter did my hair!”

Luckily for Kelly, she looks incredible no matter what!
