Proud parents! Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Conseulos, paid a surprise visit to their eldest son on the Riverdale set earlier this week — and Michael Consuelos‘ reaction to their arrival was nothing short of hilarious.

In videos posted to his parents’ Instagram Stories, Michael, 21, can be seen confusingly opening his trailer’s door and subsequently acting totally shocked to see Kelly and Mark on-set. “Oh… hi,” the young actor said as he greeted his mom and dad. Mark then excitedly told his son, “Hi! It’s bring your parents to work day!”

Earlier this month it was announced that Michael would be joining the cast of CW’s Riverdale for the teen drama’s upcoming third season. The best part? The oldest Consuelos kid is playing a younger version of Mark’s character Hiram Lodge on the popular series!

“Congrats, Michael, on being cast as young Hiram Lodge on [Riverdale], however, [Mark] and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you and your siblings that as your fiduciaries, we are hereby entitled to 10 percent of all future earnings hereto wit, or something like that,” Kelly wrote on Instagram after it was revealed that Michael was joining the show.

Mark also shared a sweet message to his son on Instagram. “Bucket list moment for Mom and Dad. Congrats to my son Michael on being cast as the younger (and much better and handsomer) Hiram,” the proud papa wrote. “We are so proud. Love you MJC.”

After Kelly and Mark posted their touching Instagram shout-outs to their son, fans flooded the comments sections of the posts to express their reactions to the exciting news. “[YESSS] FATHER AND SON ON SET!!!” one fan commented, while another wrote, “One of life’s great gifts — the opportunity to celebrate the success of your child. Congrats.”

This marks Michael’s first acting credit in six years, according to IMDB. The celebrity kid is currently a student at NYU, according to People. On Riverdale, Michael is set to appear in a flashback episode as villain Hiram. The hit series — which is based on the characters of Archie Comics — also stars KJ Apa (as Archie Andrews), Lili Reinhart (as Betty Cooper), Camila Mendes (as Veronica Lodge), Cole Sprouse (as Jughead Jones), Madelaine Petsch (as Cheryl Blossom), and Luke Perry (as Fred Andrews).

Riverdale Season 3 is set to premiere on Oct. 10 on the CW.
