Who Is Tamron Hall's Husband? Meet Her Spouse Steven Greener

Tamron Hall‘s journey through life hasn’t been the easiest, but it was all worth it when she was led to her husband, Steven Greener. The Today alum and the film producer have been a couple for years now, and they’ve experienced so much happiness since tying the knot.

Tamron and Steven’s romance first began following her exit from Today in February 2017. While making an appearance on the Steve Harvey show at the time, the TV star revealed she had “a boyfriend now.”

Tamron and her beau kept a very tight-lip on their relationship, but the broadcast journalist revealed they actually first met around 2013. Though Steven was interested in the brunette beauty, Tamron said his flirting “game was not up to par.”

“He would run into me and he kept saying, ‘What are the odds?’” she told Ryan Seacrest while guest-cohosting Live With Kelly and Ryan in 2019. “I’m like, ‘Because you’re stalking me, the odds are high.'”

Tamron and Steve eventually became an item, and in March 2019, she announced the news of their private nuptials. Shortly after they secretly tied the knot, the MSNBC alum explained why she doesn’t share many details of her personal life.

“I always thought, ‘One day I’ll get married, and I don’t want my husband to have to look at old episodes of me gushing over the last guy.’ So I’ve always been very cautious,” she told People. “I think today, people mistake privacy for secrecy.”

Just one month after the duo walked down the aisle, Tamron and Steve experienced parenthood when she gave birth to their first and only child, Moses, in April. The star, who didn’t reveal her pregnancy until she was 32 weeks along, shared the news of baby No. 1’s birth via Instagram.

“Moses and Mama!! I can’t wait to introduce y’all to my #sonshine,” Tamron captioned the photo, adding that Steve was over the moon about their little one’s arrival. “Photo credit: Dad who can’t stop crying tears of joy. Thank y’all for the love and support. It got us here.”

Since welcoming their beloved baby, Tamron and Steve’s bond has only strengthened. While celebrating Valentine’s Day in February 2021, the Emmy winner shared a rare tribute for her longtime love.

“Happy Valentine’s day to you. Old pic … [but] same love and same fade lol,” she gushed in the caption. “The ride is always unpredictable, but the person next to you can help make the bumps easier to take. Last year [we had] dinner out, this year I’m cooking oxtails at home and loving it all.”

Steven Is a Big-Name Producer

According to Good Housekeeping, Steven has worked with American Idol‘s season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino, the late comedian Bernie Mac and a lot more stars in the entertainment industry. He’s also produced many well-known films such as Guess Who starring Ashton Kutcher in 2005 and Goodnight, Joseph Parker in 2004.

Tamron Has Spent More Time With Steven Than Any of Her Former Flames

While once speaking to People, Tamron marveled over the close bond that she and her husband have and said he’s the only man she’s ever dated who’s been around her all the time. “Steven was my first and only boyfriend who did not have to turn on the TV to see me, and I think that’s been important,” Tamron said.

Steven Is a Very Shy Guy

When the film producer first met the TV personality, he didn’t make it very apparent that he was into her. It wasn’t until they started dating that Tamron realized that she was the biggest part of his life.

“I’ve known him for many years. We would run into each other, and he’s shy, so I wasn’t clear that he was hitting on me exactly. I thought he was just being friendly,” the mom-of-one recalled to People. “When we finally started dating, I could see him clearly. When I was working, given the competitive environment I was in, you don’t always see people for who they are. Once I left, I started to have better conversations. You’re more present, and you’re not looking at your phone, not checking your email. The fear factor of ‘What’s going on with my spot? Am I going to keep this job?’ fell away, and I could really see Steven.”

Their Relationship Wasn’t Secretive, It Was Just Private

Many fans believe that Tamron tried to hide her relationship with Steven from the public, but that’s actually not true. According to her, they went everywhere together. Apparently, the paparazzi just missed those moments because she never wanted to talk about him on TV.

“People say he’s my ‘secret husband.’ But we were going everywhere together; it was just a private thing I needed to protect,” she told People.

“I’m constantly amazed by how lucky I am,” Steven gushed about his wife to People. “Tamron is one of the most authentic, loving, honest, caring people I’ve ever known.” Plus, the ABC alum feels the exact same way.

“This was my deepest, greatest love,” she said about her relationship with Steven, and he added, “My favorite part of marriage and fatherhood so far is realizing every day I am exactly where I was always meant to be — with my family. I am home.”
