Imagine if Tamron Hall became Hoda Kotb‘s new fourth-hour co-host? That would be a treat! Tamron spoke out on her former co-worker Kathie Lee Gifford’s departure from Today in an Instagram post a few days after the 65-year-old revealed she’d be exiting the talk show for good in April.

“Sending love and hugs to @kathielgifford! Thank you for always offering support, love, and advice,” she wrote alongside an older photo of herself, Kathie Lee, Hoda, and Savannah Guthrie. “Wishing you nothing but the best as you take on a new chapter. Some of the best memories I had at Today were because of your infectious joy. God Bless.”

Fans immediately took to the comments to subtly suggest that Tamron should make a return following Kathie Lee’s exit. “It would be so awesome to have you back!!! We’ll miss KLG💜,” one fan wrote. Another added, “We miss you on Today Show Tamron.😄😄.” One commented, “I would love to see Tamron back with the girls where she belongs.”

Tamron, 48, left Today in February 2017 to focus on new projects following Megyn Kelly’s hiring. “Yesterday was [Tamron’s] last day as an anchor on both networks. Tamron is an exceptional journalist, we valued and enjoyed her work at Today and MSNBC and hoped that she would decide to stay. We are disappointed that she has chosen to leave, but we wish her all the best,” a statement from NBC News read at the time.

“The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful,” Tamron then said in a message released by the network. “I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.”

Nearly two years later, on Dec. 11, 2018, Kathie Lee announced her departure as well. “I have something to share with everybody. It’s bittersweet as these things always are, but I have been here almost 11 years. Thought I would stay one year. Something happened along the way and fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess and when it’s our 11th anniversary I will be leaving the Today show,” she revealed at the time. “I know. It’s an exciting time for me and I’m thrilled about the projects coming up, but it’s also hard is because the reason I stayed longer than a year is because I love everybody here. I have been in this business 120 years and never worked with a more beautiful group of people who just give, give, give every day, four hours of live television five days a week.”

Here’s hoping Tamron and Kathie Lee reunite for some type of show in the future!
