Without realizing it, morning anchors and TV hosts become an integral part of our everyday lives, and NBC’s Today show hosts are no exception. They break down world events, bring us news from surrounding neighborhoods, and entertain and inform us with fun, thoughtful interviews. We invite them into our homes every morning not because we have to, but because at the end of the day, they feel more like a trusted friend than just a face on TV. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could get to know more than just that face on the screen?

The Today show is a morning show staple that has had numerous hosts over the years. From broadcasting legends like Tom Brokaw and Barbara Walters to current favorites like Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, these personalities have made their way into our lives and have left an indelible mark. And not only have they shared stories from all over the world, they’ve also shared their own, through their books!
In October 2020, Hoda released her latest book, This Just Speaks to Me. The text contains a series of personal stories about people who have enriched her life along with moments that have made a lasting impact on her, according to Today. In the stories, she reflects on themes of motherhood, friendship, love and loss.
“It’s just fun,” the mother of two said during a June 2020 episode of the Today show. “I think every time you go through a period in your life, like, different quotes speak to you and we had so many — especially everything that’s happened just in this last year. In fact, we just are putting the finishing touches on it.”
The book was releasedseven months after the United States went into a self-quarantine amid the height of the coronavirus pandemic. While cohosting the Today show from home via Zoom, Hoda told her cohosts Carson Daly, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie that they are all included in the upcoming book.
“By the way, you all are mentioned in it, quotes you love, stories about you and we just hope … it’s just something you can have on your coffee table, pick it up, feel a little bit better, put it back down,” she gushed. “I hope that y’all enjoy it when it comes out.”
From cookbooks and self-help books to biographies and novels, getting to know your favorite NBC Today show hosts has never been easier or more fun!

The book is essentially a long-form heart-to-heart between father and son as they discuss everything from fatherhood and religion, to being on TV and driving lessons gone horribly wrong.
