TV couple Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are working to develop a brand new Freeform series with Kapital Entertainment. According to Variety, the hour-long show will be a drama based on the 2008 book, How the Other Half Hamptons, by Jasmin Rosemberg.

The story is centered around two girls in their 20s who are hoping to have a relaxing summer in the Hamptons. But instead of finding the stress-free summer days that they were looking for, they end up sharing a 10 bedroom house with 40 strangers and unexpectedly enter party central. In the timespan of 16 weeks, the two girls experience endless parties, regrettable hookups, and drunken escapades while dodging unexpected twists of fate. How exciting!

Kelly and Mark will serve as the show's executive producers alongside three more industry professionals including Kapital’s Aaron Kaplan. And the married couple couldn't be any more perfect for the job!

Kelly and Mark have been vacationing in the Hamptons for a long time and they even owned a place in the luxurious area. Recently, the Live! star had to fire back at her haters who suggested that she takes too many vacations from her show.

"Kelly, please explain what’s happening with Live... are they repeats? How is it prepaid? I’m so distraught, nothing to watch with my morning coffee," one user wrote to her on Instagram and another added, "She's the only anchor with the whole summer off. She doesn’t work that hard to begin with." Clearing the air, Kelly had no choice but to set the record straight.

"I'm not an anchor, I don't have the whole summer off, and I work extremely hard. Anything else?" she wrote back. It's never a bad decision to have a little fun in the sun, but with Kelly and her husband working together on this new Freeform series, we have no choice but to tune in and watch!
