Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Kids Are No Longer Babies! Then-and-Now Photos of Their Children

It seems like Angelina Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt‘s six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, grew up in the blink of an eye. One day they were infants, and these days, all of them are teenagers and young adults! Then-and-now photos of the former couple’s kids prove how much they’ve transformed over the years.

The acting duo’s first child, Maddox, is the eldest of the group, and he’s already started college as a student at Yonsei University in South Korea. When Angelina dropped her beloved son off at the school in August 2019, the Maleficent star couldn’t help but get emotional about watching her kiddo leave the nest.

“I [go home] today,” the doting mom said as she and Maddox walked on the campus at Yonsei University, where he’s studying biochemistry. “I’m trying not to cry.”

At the time Maddox flew the coop to pursue his college degree, an insider told In Touch he was “super excited about starting this new journey.” Though he was looking forward to studying across the globe in South Korea, the source noted it wasn’t easy for the “tight-knit” family.

“There have been some tears,” the insider shared, pointing out a change in the dynamic now that the young man is off to college. “Maddox told his siblings that they have to listen to Pax now, which they all laughed at.”

While the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star had an especially hard time letting her college student go, she’s so proud of the “[example he is] setting for all her children,” a separate insider exclusively told Closer in August 2019, noting though Angelina “[misses] him terribly,” she wants Maddox “to spread his wings and fly.”

Fortunately for Angelina, she got some extra time with Maddox amid the coronavirus pandemic. In April 2020, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress told Dong-A Ilbo Daily her son came home from South Korea due to COVID-19 regulations. After learning remotely for nearly a year, the Sun reported in March 2021 that Maddox was set “to return to [his] South Korea college.”

Considering Angelina is just a few years off from being a total empty-nester, the Mr. and Mrs. Smith actress is taking advantage of her time at home with her beloved children. Though she’s endured some challenges since her 2016 divorce from the Ad Astra star, including their ongoing custody battle, Angelina couldn’t be a more devoted parent to her little ones.

“Well, she’s a good mom I’ll tell you that,” the star’s dad, Jon Voight, exclusively gushed to Closer in February 2019. “She is very loving to the kids and very much there with them, always there with them although she has a busy life. She doesn’t miss any opportunity to inquire into their lives and help them every step of the way. So, I’m very proud of her.”
