It wasn’t until the Maleficent actress gave birth to Knox, along with his twin sister, Vivienne, that the former pair completed their beautiful family.

The Girl, Interrupted actress and the World War Z star revealed the exciting news that they were expecting twins in May 2008. Two months later, Angelina and Brad celebrated the arrival of their son and daughter on July 12. The proud mom welcomed her little ones at around 8 p.m. at Lenval Hospital in the seaside town of Nice, France.

At the time, Dr. Michel Sussmann — the obstetrician who delivered Knox and Vivienne — told the Associated Press that Angelina and her babies were “doing marvelously well” after her originally scheduled C-section was moved forward “for medical reasons.” He also revealed Knox was born weighing more than 5 pounds, while his sister came in at a little less.

Knox and Vivienne’s arrival was a big deal to more than just the Jolie-Pitt family. Following their birth, the first pictures of the duo were reportedly being sold for $14 million — making it the most expensive celebrity photos ever taken, with all proceeds were given to charity.

As time has passed, fans of Angie and Brad have loved watching Knox and his sister grow up over the years. Although it’s not too often for the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star to put her kiddos on full display, she’ll make rare public appearances with Knox, as well as her entire brood, every now and then.

In July 2021, Knox was photographed in Paris, France, while grabbing a bite to eat with his famous mom and siblings. Two years earlier in March 2019, the blond-haired cutie joined Angelina on the red carpet at the premiere of Dumbo.

As the son of two Hollywood icons, it’s no surprise Knox has already started following in Angie and Brad’s acting footsteps. Though he only has one credit so far, the teenager made his debut as a voice actor in 2016’s Kung Fu Panda 3, per IMDb.

Whether or not Knox paves a career like the Mr. and Mrs. Smith alums — who wed in 2014 but divorced two years later — Angelina will be proud of whatever path her child takes. In fact, all the Oscar winner truly cares about is “her children [being] citizens of the world,” an insider told Closer in November 2019.
