Who Is Princess Beatrice's Husband? Meet Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are so in love! The royal couple became an item in fall 2018, and since then, they’ve announced their engagement, wed in a private ceremony and now, they welcomed their first child together.

The happy news of the pair’s little one was announced on September 20. A statement from the royal family revealed the eldest child of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson gave birth to baby No. 1, a daughter, two days earlier on September 18. A statement said the tot weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

“The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement read. “The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

The British duo revealed the name of their little bundle of joy nearly two weeks later, releasing a statement on the royal family’s official Instagram account on October 1. “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi,” read the post.

Beatrice has been linked to the English property developer for years, but they confirmed their status as a pair in March 2019. The mom of one and Edoardo made their relationship red carpet official when they attended the 2019 Portrait Gala in London.

Nearly a week later, Bea and her man — who goes by Edo — were seen celebrating their newfound love across the pond in New York City. Queen Elizabeth‘s granddaughter and her handsome beau looked so happy as they walked hand-in-hand down the Manhattan streets.

Royal admirers first began speculating Prince William and Prince Harry‘s cousin was dating Edo in November 2018. “Edoardo is a friend of Beatrice’s family,” a source dished to People. However, while many outlets reported the two had just met at that time, Bea and the Edo apparently knew each other for a while.

Less than a year after going public with their romance, Beatrice and her love revealed they were engaged in September 2019. The ginger-haired beauty and the businessman kept a tight lip regarding the details of their nuptials, but in July 2020, Buckingham Palace announced they wed in a secret ceremony on July 17 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

“The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family,” read the royal family’s statement, which clarified the number of guests and arrangements were modified amid the coronavirus pandemic. “The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant government guidelines.”

The royal duo celebrated their latest milestone, Bea’s pregnancy, in May 2021, when the monarchy announced the news of baby No. 1 The princess and Edo are “expecting a baby in autumn of this year,” according to a statement. “[Queen Elizabeth] has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
