Dressed in a striking, mint-hued gown, Goldie Hawn looked vivacious as ever as she walked an emerald carpet for the Global Green’s 10th Anniversary Gorgeous & Green Gala.
And although her long-time partner, Kurt Russell couldn’t be with her on Oct. 10 for the San Francisco event, Goldie gushed to Closer, “He totally supports me. He really does!”

In fact, there’s no better example of a sustainable relationship in Hollywood than Kurt and Goldie. Their secret? “They both believe in the philosophy of ‘live and let live,’” explains a friend, and they “give each other a lot of space to grow.”
“Kurt and Goldie are very different,” shares a pal about the couple, who met as youngsters but became a romantic duo during the filming of 1983’s Swing Shift. At that point, both had been married and divorced and both had children.
“Imagine a sport hunter and a PETA fanatic sleeping in the same bed!” marvels the friend. “But their differences are irrelevant when it comes to what really matters to them.”

Topping that list is the four children they raised together, Oliver Hudson, 38, Kate Hudson, 35, Boston Russell, 34, and Wyatt Russell, 28, and the five grandchildren they adore.
Kurt, 63, “is an amazing father and partner,” Goldie gushes to Closer. And family, says the pal, is everything. “There’s a standing Sunday dinner at their house whenever the kids are in town,” the friend reveals.

The only romantic gesture Kurt and Goldie haven’t made is getting married. “They don’t care about a piece of paper making them official,” an insider explains. “At this point, who cares?”
Adds Goldie: “If you don’t wake up wanting to be with the person you’re next to, you better figure it out.”
