Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's Grandkids: Meet the Children

Fans are extremely familiar with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, as they are arguably one of the most adored Hollywood couples today. They also have quite the blended family — one that has given the longtime lovebirds seven wonderful grandchildren.

Before the pair met, Goldie and Kurt already had children of their own. The Death Becomes Her actress is the mom of son Oliver Hudson and daughter Kate Hudson from her previous marriage with ex-husband Bill Hudson, while the Tombstone star welcomed son Boston Russell with his former wife, Season Hubley. After meeting in 1983, the pair went on to have their only child together, Wyatt Russell.

Goldie and Kurt never married, but the duo has been living a life of bliss alongside their children for the last four decades. The couple’s hearts grew even larger when their kids started having babies of their own.

Oliver is the dad of his three children, Wilder, Bodhi and Rio, whom he shares with his wife, Erinn Bartlett. The Rules of Engagement actor and the Shallow Hal actress married in 2006.

Kate, on the other hand, is the loving mom of three kids. She shares her eldest, Ryder, with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, as well as Bingham with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress is also the parent of her youngest, Rani Rose, whom she welcomed with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

Kurt’s son Boston has yet to welcome any kiddos of his own, but the acting couple’s youngest, Wyatt, experienced fatherhood for the first time in 2021. In mid-March, the Overlord actor’s wife Meredith Hagner announced the news via Instagram after she gave birth to their first child, a son they named Buddy Prine.

Considering Goldie and Kurt take pride in their job as grandparents, there’s no doubt they’re happier than ever about the new addition. In fact, an insider close to the Overboard alums revealed the two are “madly in love” with their grandkids.

“Their door is always open to them,” the source exclusively told Closer Weekly in October 2020, noting Goldie and Kurt are “loving” and “doting” grandparents who have the most fun with their little ones. “They constantly get on the floor and play with the kids. They play ping pong, badminton … all of the games with them.”

The pair not only adores their roles, but Goldie and Kurt really good at being grandparents as well. The Snatched actress’ son Oliver praised his mom and stepdad for being incredible role models for their youngest generation.

“My parents are amazing grandparents,” the Nashville alum marveled to Us Weekly in late March. “We’re a very tight family. We all live very close to each other. They’re amazing people, amazing grandparents, amazing parents.”

Ryder Robinson

Goldie and Kurt’s first grandchild was born on January 7, 2004. Kate and her ex-husband, Chris, are parents to the young boy. Over the years, Ryder has attended many public events with his mom, as well as makes frequent appearances on her social media.

For his latest birthday in January 2021, Kate uploaded the sweetest tribute for her firstborn. “My loving, warm-hearted, hilarious, considerate, unruffled, loyal, resilient son … you got this,” she penned. “You’re gonna have one wonderful adulthood if you stay this course cause you’re solid gold. Here we are, in the 18th year of your life, and I got one more year to help you brush those wings so they’re ready to take off. I’m gonna soak in every moment!”

Wilder Hudson

On August 23, 2007, Oliver and his wife, Erinn, welcomed son Wilder. The little guy has the honor of being the second grandson of the Hollywood stars.

Oliver describes his son as a “sensitive badass,” he wrote in honor of Wilder’s birthday in August 2020. “He’s my [mountain bike] stud, flying through the air, sending it! But his heart is still soft and squishy and always will be,” the proud papa gushed.

Bingham Hawn Bellamy

Another boy added to the family! Kate’s second child, whom she welcomed alongside Matt, was born on July 9, 2011. Since welcoming her youngster, whom she calls “Bingo,” in her life, Kate says she’s learned a lot about motherhood.

“I believe that our children teach us about who they are from the very beginning, in the womb to birth to every day, week, year of their lives, and Bing’s birth taught me something immediately,” she wrote via Instagram in July 2020. “To be patient, to be in tune with him, that he’s strong-willed and beats to his own strong drum. He showed me early that he likes to control his narrative and has a good sense of self and leadership. That he feels everything and emotions are readily available and expressive.”

Rio Laura Hudson

Rio is the youngest child and first daughter of Oliver and Erinn, and she arrived on July 18, 2013. Not only does Rio look a lot like Grandma Goldie, but Oliver revealed she also acts a lot like the actress.

In August 2020, the doting dad posted the cutest video of Rio singing and dancing in their garden. “The original smash hit ‘Dancing on the Beat’ performed by Rio Laura Hudson at The Garden … with a cucumber,” he joked in the caption.

Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa

Kate welcomed her third child and first daughter with boyfriend Danny on October 2, 2018. Since little Rani arrived, the loving mom couldn’t be happier about her sweet family.

Rani is always showing up on Kate’s Instagram page, whether she’s making a funny face or dancing around in a cute clip. In March 2021, the Almost Famous actress posted a video of her tot and Danny listening to music together. “Rani grooving,” she wrote.

Buddy Prine Russell

The youngest of the Russell clan is Buddy Prine, who is the first son of Wyatt and wife Meredith. The actor’s spouse — whom he married in 2019 — announced their baby boy’s arrival on Instagram in March 2021.

“VOGUE, BABY! And right after these photos, we HAD A BABY, BABY!” she penned alongside pics from their Vogue photo shoot. “April issue of @voguemagazine in our van, Carnella, which we lived in for a big chunk of my pregnancy. Two weeks after these photos were taken, we welcomed the heavenly Buddy Prine Russell into the world! It’s been nothing short of magic.”
