Lindsay Shookus May Want to Get Back Together With Ex Ben Affleck

Back together?! Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus wants to get back together with her ex-boyfriend, Ben Affleck, less than a year after their breakup, according to a new report.

“She wants him back,” a source close to the 38-year-old told In Touch in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “She hasn’t moved on yet and still reaches out to check on how he’s doing. It’s no secret that she still loves Ben.” Lindsay is still following the Good Will Hunting star, 46, on social media and continues to ‘Like’ the photos he posts on Instagram. “She’s kind of obvious about it,” the insider added. “Trust me, if he called today and said let’s meet up, she’d be there in a heartbeat.”

The pair began dating in July 2017 but the TV producer broke it off in August 2018 because, according to People, she could not handle the actor’s struggles with addiction. “Lindsay had been supporting Ben’s sobriety and going to meetings with him,” a source close to the duo said at the time. “She had him in meditation and they were doing it together. His recovery was something that was very important to both of them.” The insider continued, “It was very hard for her to break up with Ben, but she knew he wasn’t getting better and that it was time for her to step aside. She was trying to stay as close to him as possible so that he would stay on the right path, but ultimately it just wasn’t possible. She knew she had to let him hit bottom.”

But now that the Oscar winner is in the best physical shape that he’s ever been in, it looks like Lindsay wants to give it another try. “Ben’s saying bye, bye to his dad body and baggy clothes,” a source close to Jennifer Garner‘s ex-husband exclusively told Closer Weekly in a recent interview. “He’s been looking different to his friends and there’s a good reason. Sobriety made him look at all aspects of his life, including his appearance.”
