If you thought a two-day celebration was enough, think again! Following her lavish and star-studded baby shower in New York City on Tuesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 20, word on the street is that Meghan Markle may be receiving another extravaganza before Baby Sussex arrives this spring — this time in London!

“There is still going to be some sort of private baby-centric event for Meghan’s U.K. people, and Kate [Middleton] will host,” a royal insider recently revealed to Us Weekly. “Her glam people and other relatives will be there. Not sure if it’s a total baby ‘shower,’ but you could probably call it that.”

The 37-year-old had the world on its toes when she touched down in her native U.S. last week for the planned event. Though she had an impressive list of guests — Meg’s best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney was in attendance, as well as Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and more — there was one familiar face that was noticeably missing: her sister-in-law, Kate.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s absence led many to question if she didn’t show because of her alleged feud with the former Suits actress. However, Good Housekeeping claimed at the time that the 37-year-old didn’t show because Meg’s party was intended for friends who don’t get to see her very often. The outlet also added that Kate was enjoying some well-deserved time off with her kids who were home for the week on a school break.

News of a possible second baby shower is super exciting for the Duchess of Sussex who was supposedly over the moon about the thoughtful event. “After a drama-fueled few months, a trip to New York with her closest girlfriends was exactly what Meghan needed,” an insider recently revealed to Life & Style. “She had an absolute blast and felt like a new woman! She was telling friends she didn’t want to leave.”

Decorated with lavish flower arrangements and costing up to almost $200,000, topping a baby shower at a New York City penthouse will not be an easy task. “Meghan’s pals wanted the baby shower to be super special, especially as it’s her first, so they didn’t hesitate to splash out and make it a days-long event,” the source dished.
