Her heart will go on. It’s been over three years since Céline Dion suffered the devastating loss of her husband, René Angélil, after he passed away after a long battle with throat cancer. Since then, “The Power of Love” songstress — who feels more “powerful,” “in charge” and “grounded” than ever before — has taken away important life lessons that she wants to share with those going through similar situations.

“You cannot stop living,” the 51-year-old told hosts during her appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, April 2. “Go forward. And today’s the first day of the beginning of my life, because I know that, I don’t have to worry.” Be sure to watch Céline’s emotional interview in the video above.

Instead of focusing on Rene’s absence, Céline is making sure to appreciate the things right in front of her. “The kids are growing, and I see them,” the singer said — who shares 18-year-old René-Charles and 8-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson with her late husband.  “And I look at them and I’m like, ‘Wow … we’ve done a great job.’ And I’m so proud.”

Being physically healthy is just as important to Céline as her mental health. The blonde beauty, who celebrated her birthday last month, said her secret to staying in shape is all about laughing and having a good time. “[I] don’t need to prove myself to the industry, to my family, to my friends, because I think I have done it for many years,” she explained. “I do it because my passion has grown through the years. And now I do it because I have so much fun.”

Céline will be marking the end of an era this June as she prepares to take the stage at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the last time. After nearly 20 years of her residency, the “Because You Loved Me” singer will be closing the door on her largely successful show. “Vegas has given me … the passion that we love to share with the people,” she said. “People thought I was going to — finish my career here. And that … the Titanic was going to sink again.”

Following her final farewell, Céline will have a lot more time on her hands. Besides just landing her first beauty contract with L’Oréal Paris — on top of launching a gender-neutral clothing line called Célinununu last November — the Canada native may have other plans up her sleeve. “She’d like to take advantage of the offers coming her way,” and “she’s been talking about acting,” an insider recently shared with Closer Weekly. We can’t wait to see what amazing things Céline does!
