Celine Dion’s Friend Assures She ‘Feels Fine’ Despite Recent Weight Loss (Exclusive)

That’s the way it is! Celine Dion recently made headlines for showing off her slim figure at Paris Fashion Week but one of the singer’s close friends just exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly that the 50-year-old “feels fine” and has no problem brushing off those who criticized her weight loss. “She’s very private about her health,” the pal said in Closer‘s latest issue, on newsstands now. “She is very thin but she says she feels fine.”

“She eats. She loves pasta and ice cream, but she has a fast metabolism and she finds it hard to relax,” the friend said of the “My Heart Will Go On” singer’s diet.

Not only will she eat whatever she wants, but Celine loves wearing whatever she wants and doesn’t mind if people don’t like her high-fashion style. “I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. I’m doing this for me,” the mom-of-three recently told The Sun. “I want to wear whatever I want. I want to do whatever I choose. [If you don’t like it] don’t bother. Don’t take the picture.”

Despite people slamming her figure, Celine said she’s in a great place now that she’s entered her 50s. “I think I’m at the best of my life right now and I really want to enjoy and embrace every moment,” the star —  who lost her beloved husband and manager, René Angélil, three years ago — said. “I’m having a second wind. I’m having a good time.”

Celine is looking forward to even more good times and a less hectic work schedule now that her long-running Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace is coming to an end in June. “[My routine] was perform, go to bed, rest, train your voice, rest, perform, go to bed, shower, go perform,” she said. “Right now, I feel like I [should] find a balance. I have many, many opportunities to do many things.”

Celine’s friend also revealed that the music icon may be taking her talents to the big screen next. “She’s been talking about acting,” the source told Closer. “She wants to concentrate on that more.”

Celine also plans to spend more quality time with her three sons, René-Charles, 18, and twins Eddy and Nelson, both 8. “She wants more freedom. Her boys are getting bigger fast. She wants to be able to see them more in the evening and travel with them. They want to go on an African safari,” the friend said.
