Celine Dion Has ‘Been Talking About Acting’ After Her Las Vegas Residency Ends (Exclusive)
The power of … acting? That was our attempt at a pun using a Celine Dion song, and that’s because it seems like the iconic singer may want to act and appear on the big (or small!) screen once her Las Vegas residency ends later this year.
Now that the 50-year-old will conclude her residency in Sin City in June, it seems like she wants to continue to perform, just not in the way we would all expect her to. That’s right, the hitmaker isn’t exactly thinking about singing. “She’d like to take advantage of the offers coming her way,“ and “she’s been talking about acting,” an insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. And this new venture would shake up Celine’s already strict schedule, one that got even tougher after she began working at Caesars Palace in 2011.
“It was perform, go to bed, rest, train your voice, rest, perform, go to bed, shower, go perform,” she recently told The Sun of her exhausting itinerary. “Right now, I feel like I [should] find a balance. I have many, many opportunities to do many things.” Like perhaps become a regular on our next favorite TV drama? Just a thought.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer has been in everyone’s sights lately, most recently when she sparked health concerns after showing off her slim figure at Paris Fashion Week. But one of her close friend’s assured fans there is nothing to worry about. “She’s very private about her health,” the pal exclusively told Closer Weekly. “She is very thin but she says she feels fine. She eats. She loves pasta and ice cream, but she has a fast metabolism and she finds it hard to relax.”
We are glad to hear that Celine is doing great, and we’re also happy to know that there’s a chance Hollywood may have a new actress join the industry soon!
