It seems Chris Martin is doing just fine in the wake of his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow!
In a revealing new interview, the 38-year-old singer opened up about his post-split life for the first time and confessed he now feels "so happy to be alive."

"A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused," Chris said during a recent radio interview on the Rove & Sam show. "Some friends gave me a book called Man's Search for Meaning, and a poem called The Guest House by an Afghanistani poet, teacher, and those two things started me off on this whole journey that's ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive.

"That may sound a little simple but I suddenly feel very grateful for all these things in my life, I just feel happy to be alive and if it's coming across then that's because it's real," he continued.

Gwyneth, 43, and Chris — who tied the knot in December 2003 — announced their "conscious uncoupling" after 10 years of marriage in March 2014 and finalized their divorce in April 2015. The former couple are parents to two children, daughter Apple Martin, 11, and son Moses Martin, 9.
