Mark Consuelos Surprises Wife Kelly Ripa With Gorgeous White Flowers in Honor of Her 49th Birthday
On Kelly Ripa‘s special day, her husband, Mark Consuelos, knew exactly how to make her feel like a million bucks. In honor of his wife’s 49th birthday on Wednesday, October 2, the beloved Riverdale actor surprised his longtime sweetheart with a slew of adorable gifts and showered her with love.
On the eve of her birthday, Kelly took to social media and shared a series of photos to her Instagram Story. In the snaps, the Live! With Kelly and Ryan host showed off the gorgeous, white flowers her handsome hubby, 48, surprised her with in honor of her special celebration. “Best husband ever …” she gushed in one of the pics. “Ever and ever,” she wrote in another.
Along with the handful of Instagram Stories with her white flowers on full display, Kelly also shared a photo of a note her husband adorably penned. “Happy bday eve, Love, M (Not Madonna),” the card hilariously read. The All My Children alum seemed to get a kick out of her hubby’s message as she shared a laughing emoji to her story.
Hours after he gifted his gorgeous wife with an endless array of flowers, Mark took to Instagram and gushed over Kelly in a heartwarming tribute. As usual, the Alpha House actor — who shares kids Michael Consuelos, 21, Lola Consuelos, 18, and Joaquin Consuelos, 16, with Kelly — added his signature touch of humor to his adorable post.
“Happy birthday to my fave … I’m really glad you were born … because let’s face it, if you weren’t, I would’ve been married three or four times by now,” he jokingly wrote. “Which would’ve been really expensive, not to mention the super tense parent teacher conferences and all the awkward blended family holiday/vacations. Anyway, happy birthday sweetie.” LOL!
Along with his loving tribute, Mark shared a series of pics of the couple from over the years. The handsome hunk also included a few photos of the TV personality growing up. Too cute!
Mark’s birthday surprise and loving Instagram post come as no surprise considering he’s publicly gushed over his wife since they tied the knot in 1996. This past January, the TV star opened up about their longtime marriage and gushed that Kelly still gives him butterflies.
“I’m crazy about her,” he revealed to Us Weekly. “She’s an extremely patient and tolerant woman. And I think that’s the true secret to our marriage.”
