Kelly Ripa Jokes That She ‘Grosses Out’ Her Daughter Lola With a PDA-Filled Throwback of Husband Mark Consuelos
So funny! Kelly Ripa isn’t afraid to clap back at the Instagram haters — even if one is her daughter! The Live With Kelly and Ryan host took to Instagram on Friday, March 15, to share a PDA-filled throwback pic with her handsome husband, Mark Consuelos and it’s safe to say that not everyone loved it.
“#fbf 2007 Those hands,” Kelly, 48, captioned the cute pic from many years ago of Mark, 47, sweetly holding onto her hips as they attended a Prince concert. Take a look at the pic Kelly shared below!

While many fans of the All My Children alum praised the adoring relationship she and Mark share, the couple’s only daughter, Lola Consuelos, wasn’t too thrilled with her mom’s choice of words. “Is the caption necessary?” the 17-year-old wrote in the comment section of her mom’s post.
Kelly apparently wasn’t too phased by her daughter’s displeased behavior. “Gurl bye,” the blonde beauty hysterically replied to the teen’s comment. Check out their exchange here!

It wasn’t until a fan chimed in that Kelly explained the meaning behind Lola’s criticism. “They look like great hands Kelly, @youngestyung [Lola’s Instagram name] is just jealous,” the fan wrote. “No, she’s just grossed out. That’s my daughter,” Kelly replied alongside a crying laughing emoji.
In addition to Lola, Kelly and Mark are also the proud parents to their two sons — Michael Conseulos, 21, and Joquin Consuelos, 16. The Hope & Faith star talks about her three kids quite often while hosting alongside Ryan Seacrest, but she recently opened up about the college admissions scandal, which led to dozens of people being indicted — among them famed actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.

“Let me tell you something. As a parent who has gone through this process twice so far, test-taking is a nightmare,” Kelly admitted on the show. “It is so exhausting … for the student, for the parents, for everybody involved. Particularity if you are my kids’ tutor, I would think it would be exhausting for you as well. You look at this and you go, ‘If you have the money to afford a tutor, you already have an advantage.'”
Kelly jokingly added that she doesn’t even know what hot water she’d be in right now had this happen prior to Michael — who is currently attending New York University — and Lola completing the college apps. “I’m so glad this scandal broke after my kids went through [the college application process] because I know my daughter would have been like, ‘Hey, can you call that man?'” she quipped. “The whole thing is a shame and it’s robbing the kids the chance for them to achieve [getting in] on their own.”
We love how honest Kelly is!
