Lovers and friends! Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have been married since 1996 and in a new interview with Fox News, the Riverdale actor says that he’s still head-over-heels in love with his wife after spending over two decades together.

“I’m crazy about my wife,” Mark, 47, gushed. “It’s nice to be married to your best friend.” Mark and Kelly, 48, first met each other on the set of ABC’s All My Children and later started dating in 1995. The actor believes that he and the soap opera alum have stayed married for so long because their parents have never gotten divorced.

“We both come from families, our parents are still together,” he revealed. “Family is super important to us. We have three great kids, and that also bonds you, having that experience together.” The pair are proud parents to their kids, Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 15, and there’s nothing that Mark loves more about his wife than her amazing attitude.

“She’s also really patient and really tolerant,” he said. “I think that’s a big key to the success of our long [marriage]. We’ve been married forever!” Mark also likes how Kelly deals with her haters online. The Live with Kelly and Ryan cohost has clapped back at a few trolls on social media who told her that she was “too old” for her hubby or takes too many vacations from her talk show.

“We don’t take anything seriously or to heart,” Mark explained. “Luckily, most of the people are great and we really don’t focus on the negative stuff. There’s too much positive stuff to focus on. If we do respond, it’s always with humor. My wife’s one of the funniest people I know.”

This May, the couple will celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary, and Mark gushed that in life he’s “certain about a few things, and that’s one of them.”
