The ‘View’ Ladies Are Made of Money! Check Out Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and More Stars’ Net Worths

Since 1997, the hosts of The View have been keeping viewers entertained and educated by passionately discussing many topics on the hit talk show. The stars aren’t doing the job for a cheap dollar either, as they’ve accumulated tons of bucks and mind-boggling net worths over the years.

The current cast of the popular ABC show stands as Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines. In August 2022, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro were announced as permanent cohosts on the program for season 26. Countless other well-known TV personalities have graced the roundtable, including late show founder, Barbara Walters, Abby Huntsman, Meredith Vieira and many others.

Another star who exited The View in the past few years is Meghan McCain, who joined the Emmy-winning series in October 2017. The political commentator announced she was leaving the talk show after four seasons, revealing her departure in July 2021.

“I’m just going to rip the Band-Aid off. I am here to tell all of you, my wonderful cohosts and the viewers at home, that this is going to be my last season here at The View,” Meghan said on air. “This was not an easy decision. It took a lot of thought and counsel and prayer and talking to my family and my close friends, and, you know … COVID has changed the world for all of us, and it changed the way at least for me.”

The Dirty Sexy Politics author said goodbye to her longtime costars, marking her last episode on The View in August 2021. Though ABC did not immediately reveal a new host to take the place of the conservative columnist at the time, the network did share that it would “be hard to replace” Meghan’s spot.

“She was always ready with a counterpoint, and she loved a good fight,” an insider exclusively told Closer following her exit announcement. Though “there’s a fine line to being in the hot seat,” Meghan handled her position “pretty well,” the insider added. “She was perfect for live TV. It’s going to be interesting to see who they try out for Meghan’s spot … she will be hard to replace.”

While Meghan’s exit from The View was sad for viewers, the TV star said she was looking forward to focusing on her family and new projects. Alyssa and Ana were eventually brought in to replace her. In the past, Whoopi has also teased the idea of leaving, saying she’d like to branch out from the series and pursue other work one day.

“What you’re asking is, ‘Is The View enough?’ It’s not. 10 years is a long time, and now I’m starting to do other stuff. I’m doing books. I’m adventuring into THC products. I’m creating the clothes,” the comedian told The New York Times in 2019, noting the program is simply another performance for her.

“In a way, I am playing a role,” Whoopi told the outlet. “These are not conversations that I’m having with my friends. If they were, we’d be doing it differently. My friends and I can talk about things in depth in a different way than you can on television.”

Fortunately, Whoopi is getting paid the big bucks for her part!
