Princess Charlotte Loves Following Mom Kate Middleton Around the Kitchen and Learning How to Cook (Exclusive)

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Like her mom, Princess Charlotte loves to spend time in the kitchen and she’s growing up to be quite the little chef. “Charlotte’s favorite pastime is baking cakes,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly in one of the magazine’s recent issues. “She has her own little apron and follows Kate around the kitchen.”

Three-year-old Charlotte’s big brother, Prince George, has also found the culinary arts to be interesting, too. The insider stated that Kate Middleton doesn’t mind when her two oldest kids like to “get their hands messy” in the kitchen because they’re learning something new.

“I think every child should have the best possible start in life,” Kate once said. “My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect and honesty. That is why [Prince] William and I want to teach our little children just how important these things are as they grow up.”

Kate has been teaching George, 5, and Charlotte about royal protocol and etiquette as well so they can easily adapt to royal life as adults. “She’s learned the royal wave and curtsy,” the insider shared about Kate’s daughter, adding that she’s great at making friends at school. Charlotte’s “very popular and is very passionate about art and music,” the source noted. “She has a strong personality and is the kind of little girl who knows what she wants and doesn’t let anything get in her way.”

Charlotte’s resilient personality has made her an exceptional sibling to her younger brother, Prince Louis, too. “Charlotte is cute but she’s got a feisty side!” Kate once admitted about her spunky daughter. Prince William also took note of Charlotte’s “feisty” personality and came up with an adorable nickname for the tiny tot. “William jokingly calls his daughter ‘Little Miss Bossy Boots,’ as she’ll often tell George what to do,” the source said. Looks like Princess Charlotte is definitely Queen Elizabeth‘s mini-me!
