Queen Elizabeth Thinks Great-Granddaughter Princess Charlotte Is Her ‘Mini-Me’ (Exclusive)

She’s been stealing hearts both near and far since her birth in 2015, but 3-year-old Princess Charlotte‘s biggest fan might be her famous great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth! “The queen has already picked up on signs that Charlotte is her mini-me,” an insider recently revealed to Closer Weekly in an exclusive new interview. “She’s confident that her great-granddaughter will grow up to be a great leader and role model.”

When Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their first daughter into their royal family a few years ago, the 92-year-old royal apparently couldn’t have been more happy about another little lady joining the monarchy. “The queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl,” Kate, 37, once said. “She was one of our first visitors.” Aww!

This isn’t the first time that the adorable toddler has been compared to her regal great-grandmother. When pictures of Charlotte attending her younger brother Prince Louis‘ christening were released last year, royal fans and admirers couldn’t believe how much the princess looked like (and acted like!) Queen Elizabeth.

In the official portraits from Louis‘ July 2018 christening, people couldn’t help but point out how sweetly Charlotte adorably posed with her baby brother while holding his tiny hand and kidding his forehead. Many thought Charlotte’s adoration for Louis, 8 months, was reminiscent of the way Queen Elizabeth also acted as an older sister to the late Princess Margaret.

In addition to the queen, royal fans also think William, 36, and Kate’s daughter greatly resembles her late grandmother, Princess Diana. When the Instagram royal fan account @loveprincessdiana recently posted a side-by-side photo of Charlotte and Diana at similar ages with the caption, “Princess Charlotte has Diana’s eyes,” people just couldn’t get over how much the two look alike!

The royal youngster has even been compared to her father, William, too. Following Princess Eugenie‘s October 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank, royal fans compared a photo of Charlotte showing off her sweetly demure smile to a snapshot of William at the same age with a very similar grin. Too cute!

Luckily for Charlotte, she seems to embody different qualities from her father, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Perhaps that’s why we can’t get enough of her wild and captivating spirit!
