Proud grandma! Doria Ragland may have gotten to spend a few precious weeks with daughter Duchess Meghan after she gave birth to her first child with Prince Harry in May, but that simply was not enough time with Archie. Luckily for Doria, 63, the Sussexes will soon be taking their baby boy across the pond to spend Thanksgiving in Los Angeles.

“Doria’s already bought Archie lots of gifts, books and toys,” a source exclusively told Closer Weekly about what she has planned for the little guy over the holidays. “She loves spoiling her grandson and is so excited about him spending some quality time in her hometown, as is Meghan.”

When Archie was born on May 6, Doria was in the U.K. for the historic arrival. It was revealed at that time that Doria was “overjoyed” to meet her first grandchild and she later visited the tot with his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. After helping out for a little while, it was time for her to head back to L.A. — though she did return for Archie’s christening on July 6. Since then, Doria has been a “big help” to both Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35.

Also on their trip to the U.S., the couple plan to take full advantage of the nice weather and to explore nature Archie.

“The couple is planning lots of fun family activities during their time in L.A. —  hiking, picnics, dinners and much more,” a royal insider close to the pair recently told Closer Weekly of the their upcoming vacation plans. “They want to make the most of the glorious weather L.A. has to offer and be outdoors.”

While Harry “can’t wait to get back on the surfboard,” the insider added that Meghan is “most excited” about seeing mom Doria for a Thanksgiving meal.
