Can you believe it?! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s royal baby is finally here! The royal couple announced the exciting news on the their official Instagram account.

“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,” the message reads. “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”

Shortly after everyone began congratulating the newlyweds on their new baby, Buckingham Palace shared an announcement from the royal family — plus a very special non-royal.

“The Duchess’ mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage,” the message notes. It also revealed the titles of every royal family member who has been notified about the royal baby’s birth.

“The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth,” the statement adds. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip), The Prince of Wales (Prince Charles), The Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla Parker Bowles), The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate Middeton), Lady Jane Fellowes (Princess Diana‘s oldest sister), Lady Sarah McCorquodale (Diana’s second oldest sister) and Earl Spencer (a British nobleman) have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

Since Meghan’s mom is currently at Frogmore Cottage, she probably met baby Sussex before Queen Elizabeth. But we’ll bet our bottom dollar the queen will be next so that she can welcome her new great-grandson!
