Prince William Jokes He Has ‘No Idea’ When Pregnant Meghan Markle Is Expected to Give Birth

Royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t joking when they said they won’t be revealing any details about their baby’s birth. They’ve been keeping their child’s arrival plans so private that even Harry’s big brother, Prince William, doesn’t know anything about when his niece or nephew is expected to arrive.

The Duke of Cambridge revealed just how knowledgeable he is about his sister-in-law’s due date when he was asked about baby Sussex’s arrival during his recent trip to New Zealand.  “Any signs of the royal baby?” one of his family’s admirers asked him.

“I haven’t got my phone on me. I have no idea!” William, 36, laughed. “You guys will find out before I do at this rate!” William’s hilarious reaction was captured on camera and shared to Instagram on Saturday, April 27, by the royal fan account “_duchess_of_sussex.”

Although the duke doesn’t know when Meghan, 37, is expected to give birth, it’s probably going to be sometime soon because her mom, Doria Ragland, recently flew from Los Angeles to London to be by her daughter’s side when her grandchild arrives. Meghan has also been telling everyone that no one will be her child’s nanny but Doria.

“It’s Doria or no one,” a palace insider previously told Closer Weekly. “The royals were insistent that she hire someone with international credentials and highly trained in security and self-defense, but Meghan was having none of it.”

Since Doria raised Meghan to be a very considerate, strong and confident woman, she might not need to be formally trained to take care of a royal baby. Meghan has grown up to be a great leader and with Doria’s teachings, her baby will surely do the same. “Doria’s a complete natural with children,” a separate source recently told Closer. “[She’s] very spiritual and calming, and a great cook.”

We can’t wait to see how Doria and her grandchild will get along!
