Meghan Markle Pays Tribute to Canada With Her Latest Outfit on Commonwealth Day — See the Pics!

How sweet! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle learned how to make Canadian candy when they stopped by Canada House in London for Commonwealth Day on Monday, March 11. For the outing, Meghan chose her outfit very carefully and wore a green coat by Erdem, a company which is headed by a Canadian fashion designer, and a pair of $587 black Deneuve heels by Aquazzura.

According to Kensington Palace, the royal couple’s outing celebrated “the diverse community of Canadians living in the UK” and during the London event, Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, made maple taffy with young Canadian children who couldn’t wait to snack on the tasty treat.

After the candy was made using maple syrup that was cooled on snow, Harry and Meghan joined the children and took a bite of the sweet candy before they all got together to take a group picture.  Apparently, making sweet candy from maple syrup came from a tradition called “Cabane à sucre” or a “Sugar Shack.”
