Kate Hudson‘s eldest son, Ryder Robinson, wants his mama to know how much he loves her. The 16-year-old left the most adorable comment on his mom’s Instagram page as the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress showed off her dances moves in a silly video.

“Cooking something up. I guess shaking it up too,” Kate, 41, captioned a clip of her busting a move while mixing up a healthy green smoothie in the kitchen on Tuesday, June 23. She added the hashtags “coming soon,” “always doing something” and  “conscious living” at the end of her post.

The Golden Globe winner had her fit figure on full display in matching black pants and a sports bra, but it was her beloved child’s sweet message that garnered the most attention. “Love you, Mom,” he wrote alongside a loudly crying emoji. Kate’s brother Oliver Hudson also chimed in, writing, “Hahahhaa.”

While Ryder couldn’t help but show admiration for his famous mama, he’s also been one to call Kate out when it comes to posting pics of him on social media. During Oliver’s 43rd birthday celebrations in September 2019, Ryder teased his mom after she uploaded a video of her family, including boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, Ryder, son Bingham and daughter Rani Rose, singing “Happy Birthday.”

“Mom, you didn’t ask me if you could post this,” he wrote in the comments section of Kate’s post, adding a rolling eyes and laughing emoji. However, the Academy Award nominee caught light of her son’s joke as she replied using an emoji with smiling eyes, rosy cheeks and several floating hearts.

As a loving mom to Ryder, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, Kate couldn’t feel luckier to share such a close bond with her eldest child. During a previous chat with InStyle, the Bride Wars alum revealed why she considers herself a more casual parent.

“I was really young, like, 23, when I had Ryder. So, our relationship has always been [a little unusual],” Kate shared. “I mean, we’re close, and I am his mom. I’m big on manners. I’m big on politeness. I’m big on gratitude. But I’m a bit of a wild mom.”

Like all moms, though, the Fool’s Gold actress — who shares Bingham, 8, with ex Matt Bellamy and Rani Rose, 20 months, with Danny, 34 — also struggles with feelings of guilt when it comes to raising her kids and juggling her hectic acting career.

“Some days I feel like I should win best mom of the day award, and some days I find myself doing strange things that don’t have any real purpose,” she shared with the outlet. “I’m so happy to have some time to myself and excited to have [these experiences]. But there’s this tight, pulling sensation that never goes away that it comes at the cost of missing a week of my children’s lives, and it aches.”

Kate couldn’t be a more dedicated mom to her brood!
