‘Frugal’ Carrie Underwood Plans To Use Son Isaiah’s ‘Hand-Me-Downs’ For Baby No. 2, Source Says
Country music star Carrie Underwood is just months away from becoming a mom-of-two. The pregnant “Cry Pretty” singer is expecting her second son with her husband, Mike Fisher. Since this is her second go-around, Carrie is being “quite frugal,” a source told Life & Style. “She’s using a lot of Isaiah’s hand-me-downs, but there’s still a lot of work to do.”
Not only is the award-winning songstress and her former NHL professional hubby gearing up for a second kiddo, but they are also allegedly moving into a brand new house in Nashville. “One of the rooms that’s practically finished is the nursery,” the source dished. With all these responsibilities, we can’t imagine how much pressure Carrie feels.
However, instead of stressing out, the 35-year-old is leaning on her supportive husband. “Mike and Carrie have had their ups and down,” the source admitted. “But this pregnancy has truly brought them closer together.” In fact, the hockey hunk, 38, has apparently been by Carrie’s side throughout this entire pregnancy. “Mike is being the most doting, amazing husband while Carrie is pregnant,” an insider shared to Us Weekly in August, just weeks after the country crooner announced she was pregnant. “Mike tries to take Carrie out once or twice a week for date night in Nashville.”
Carrie and Mike aren’t the only ones anticipating the birth of baby No. 2. Their first son, Isaiah Fisher, apparently can’t wait to meet his baby brother — even though the superstar mama says his world is “about to be rocked.” A few weeks ago, Carrie admitted to People that her three-year-old devised a plan ahead of his baby brother’s arrival.
“[Isaiah] told me recently that when the new baby comes that Daddy could have that baby and then he could be mine,” Carrie gushed while explaining that her first-born doesn’t fully understand how the parenting dynamic will change once their second little bundle of joy arrives. What a cutie!
The blonde beauty is expected to give birth in early 2019, which means she is a mere couple of months away from bringing another little angel into this world. After giving herself a few months to rest, Carrie will be heading back on the road — the first time as a family-of-four — as she embarks on her Cry Pretty Tour. It looks like Carrie has a lot to look forward to and we can’t wait to see how everything pans out for her and her family!
