It’s a… boy! Carrie Underwood and fellow country music icon Brad Paisley co-hosted the 2018 CMAs on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and at the popular award show, the pregnant singer revealed the gender of her second baby onstage, as Closer Weekly previously reported she would.

However, the reveal was a bit different this time around because Carrie, 35, voluntarily shared whether or not she’s having a boy or girl, unlike the last time she was pregnant. When she was expecting her son, Isaiah, 3, at the CMAs in 2014, Brad accidentally slipped on the baby’s gender (seemingly without Carrie’s approval). This year, however, he was so worried that he’d accidentally let up, that he begged Carrie to confess the news to her curious fans herself.

“Hey, you remember last time when I accidentally revealed the gender of your baby?” Brad, 46, joked about the awkward moment four years ago. “Tonight, we’re going to reveal something even more exciting. Who the father is… Mike, we’re all rooting for you, buddy. What’s your gut feeling, here, Carrie?” he jokingly asked the blonde beauty of her husband of eight years, NHL star Mike Fisher, 38.

After the dad jokes, Brad successfully persuaded his co-host to share the news. “Seriously, Carrie, give me a baby hint,” he said while listing off iconic male-female country duos like “Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole? Waylon or Willie?” Carrie, questioning his last pair suggestion, reluctantly yelled: “Oh, my gosh, Willie, it’s a Willie!”

The crowd went wild, and of course, Brad made sure to let everyone know it wasn’t him who revealed the big news considering earlier on in their introduction Carrie said “who could forget #BradBlewIt four years ago?” to the audience. “Carrie blew it! Trending worldwide! Way bigger than when I did it, and worse,” he boasted.

Carrie and Mike previously announced they were expecting baby No. 2 back in August. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” Carrie said at the time. We can’t wait for Isaiah to be the best big brother!
