Is Carrie Underwood having a boy or a girl? We may soon find out! A source exclusively told Closer Weekly that the pregnant country music icon may reveal her second baby’s gender when she hosts the CMAs with Brad Paisley on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
“It is not set yet, but it has been discussed,” the insider revealed. “It would be similar to how it happened the first time.” Back in November 2014, Carrie revealed onstage that her now-toddler son, Isaiah, was a boy.

In the past, Carrie has revealed she knows the baby’s gender, but she’s yet to share whether she and her husband, Mike Fisher, 38, will welcome a son or a daughter in a few months. “We like to kind of just hold onto things for a minute. I feel like everybody just knows everything about everybody, so we just like to have a little secret for a little while,” the 35-year-old revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show over the summer.

However, a source told People that “everyone is super hoping for a girl and there’s a lot of speculation that it’s going to be a girl.”

Hopefully, Carrie will announce the baby’s gender on the award show, and then after hosting, will slow down ahead of giving birth. According to OK! Magazine, Carrie’s on-the-go attitude while expecting is jeopardizing her health. “Carrie’s been flying all over the world, making the rounds on the talk show circuit, doing red carpets at awards shows, and performing. It’s really been taking a toll on her,” an insider told the publication.

But we shouldn’t worry considering the blonde beauty admitted she understands that being a working mom is all about balance. “Balance is what it’s all about. No matter what your job is,” Carrie told Us Weekly. “Being a mom, working, and dividing your time — it is what we all have to do as mothers.” We can’t wait to meet her bundle of joy in early spring 2019!
