Country star Carrie Underwood hasn’t had it easy lately. Last year, she fell outside her Nashville home and it left her with multiple injuries, including a broken wrist and abrasions to her face. Just a few weeks ago, she announced that she and her hubby, Mike Fisher, experienced three miscarriages over the last two years. That right there is enough to make one feel defeated. But Carrie is on the mend. In fact, she is looking way up.

Carrie, 35, and Mike, 38, were delighted to announce in August that they are giving their three-year-old son, Isaiah, a sibling! Carrie, who is due in early 2019, has been traveling and going to appearances when she instead should be nurturing her pregnancy — and Mike is allegedly not happy. “Everyone is gently pushing her to scale back on travel and the appearances, especially Mike,” a friend of the “Cry Pretty” singer told OK! in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “He’s begging her to head back home to Nashville and take it easy.”

The former professional NHL player became even more nervous when Carrie was forced to cancel
two shows in mid-September after she was admitted into the hospital with a viral infection. “She has this insane drive to succeed and there’s concern she could harm herself and the baby if she keeps on this way,” a source told OK!. “She needs to take some time off and focus on her health.”

Carrie announced they were expecting their second child in an Instagram video, where she also announced her upcoming “Cry Pretty Tour”. “You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’ Well… yay!” she said, revealing pink balloons spelling out “BABY” above her head. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond.”

Right now, Carrie and Mike are just relishing in the pure bliss of going through a pregnancy again. “This has just been a dream come true with the album and with baby news and all that stuff,” Carrie said. “We’re just so excited and just so glad you guys can share in this with us and be a part of this with us. Love you guys! We will see you on the road in 2019.”

You’re probably wondering whether she is having a boy or girl, but for right now, the mystery will remain. During an interview with Ellen Degeneres on Sept. 19, Carrie revealed that she is keeping hush-hush on the gender for the time being. We suppose we’ll just have the let Carrie and Mike enjoy the few months left of her pregnancy and patiently wait until she is ready to share with her fans!
