Of course she’s smiling! Anne Hathaway was glowing on the red carpet, as she showed off her baby bump in public for the first time since announcing she is expecting her second child with husband, Adam Shulman.

The 36-year-old attended the opening of Broadway play Sea Wall/A Life on Thursday, August 8, in New York City, and hit up the red carpet looking fabulous. The actress was seen in a hot pink dress with a high neck — she also put her pregnant belly on display. The Oscar winner revealed another baby is on the way on July 24 via Instagram. “It’s not for a movie …⁣⁣ #2⁣” the A-lister wrote on the social media platform, addressing her bump featured in the selfie she shared. “All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.” So kind!

Anne and her man, 38, welcomed their first child, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, now 3, in 2016, four years after saying I do to each other. It wasn’t long after giving birth that the star’s perspective of being a mom changed. “I’m learning. It’s a new set of muscles,” she told People.

Just a few days after sharing with the world that she is pregnant, The Princess Diaries star talked about having “mommy brain.” “Not in every aspect of my life. I can focus on certain things that are fine, but there are certain things my brain just has refused to allow me to imagine directions,” she explained while at the CTAM TCA Summer Press.

“If you described something, shapes or you spell something, I can’t go there, and certain words I have a hard time recalling, so I become that spinning wheel of death on your computer in conversation with me, and I feel I’m very taxing for people to be around,” Anne added at the event.

Anne has always been fairly open about motherhood — especially about balancing her job with her home life. “If I’m in a character for three months, I make sure that I’m not in character for three months,” she once said. “That way I’m never asking for [my son Jonathan] to share me for too long … I just say to myself, ‘It’s three months. It’s three months and you’re doing your best.’ The way I counteract is to the best of my ability.”

Even though she is a great mom, Anne still admires the parenting skills of other — like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. “They get down on the child’s level and speak to them eye to eye to make their child feel empowered,” Anne told the Sunday Times. “I thought that was really cool. I started doing that with Jonathan.” So sweet!
