Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Only Daughter Is the Perfect Combination of Them! Meet Chelsea
One of Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton‘s greatest accomplishments has been watching their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, grow up. Keep scrolling to learn more about the former president and first lady’s only child.
Who Is Hillary and Bill Clinton’s Daughter, Chelsea Clinton?
Unlike her parents who both became politicians, Chelsea decided to go a different route with her career. She was just a teen when her family moved to the White House in 1993. After graduating from Sidwell Friends School, the former first daughter went on to study at Stanford University for her undergraduate degree.
She later obtained multiple graduate degrees at Oxford University and Columbia University. After gaining experience following her parents on the campaign trail, Chelsea was hired as a special correspondent at NBC News in 2011. She announced her departure from the network in 2014 to focus on philanthropic work.
“It’s been a privilege to be part of the NBC family,” she wrote on Facebook in August 2014. “I admire the work and dedication that their reporters, producers, crews, editors and studio teams deliver every day, particularly as I personally experienced through the stewardship of Brian Williams at Nightly News and Rock Center.”
Over her years in the spotlight, Chelsea served as a board member for the School of American Ballet, Clover Health and the Clinton Foundation. The Arkansas native has been recognized with numerous awards for her work as a global health advocate. Chelsea has also written several pieces for media outlets and continued her activism for education initiatives and women’s rights.
The podcast host has authored several books in a variety of genres. In October 2019, she collaborated on The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience with her mom. The mother-daughter duo later teamed up for their eight-part Apple TV docuseries, Gutsy, in September 2022.
Is Chelsea Clinton Married?
Chelsea married her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, in July 2010. The investor and the bestselling author first crossed paths in the ‘90s through their parents. Marc also attended Stanford University and later Oxford University. They announced their engagement in 2009 after four years of dating.
Does Chelsea Clinton Have Any Children?
Bill and Hillary became grandparents for the first time when Chelsea and Marc welcomed their daughter, Charlotte, into the world in September 2014. The new mom gushed over her little one in an interview the following year.
“I think my love for Charlotte has just opened more space in my heart and my brain that I didn’t even know was there,” she told People in September 2015. “I didn’t know I could care more intensely about anything until I became a mom. Somehow, I love my husband even more, I love my parents even more. I feel even greater urgency about the work that I do, particularly around women and girls being a mom of a daughter.”
One year after Chelsea gushed about her new role as a mom to People, she gave birth to her first son, Aidan, in June 2016. “Marc and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of our son,” the media personality said via Twitter shortly after their second child was born. Three years later, the couple announced that the Clinton-Mezvinsky clan was expanding once more.
“Marc and I have loved watching Charlotte be such a wonderful big sister and we’re excited to watch Aidan become a big brother!” Chelsea excitedly revealed on Twitter in January 2019. “We cannot wait to meet our newest addition later this summer.”
Chelsea became a mom of three once she welcomed her third child, son Jasper, with Marc in July 2019. After becoming a family of five, the proud mom tweeted that she and Marc were “overflowing with love and gratitude” and could not wait to introduce the baby to his older siblings.
