Simon Cowell and Girlfriend Lauren Treat Son Eric, 5, to a Toy Store Shopping Spree — See the Pics!

Aww! Simon Cowell treated his 5-year-old son, Eric Cowell, to a toy store shopping spree over the weekend. The former American Idol judge and his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, were spotted out and about in Malibu, California, on Sunday, July 14.

The 59-year-old handsome hunk looked better than ever during the family shopping trip. Simon, who revealed to Extra in May that he’s lost “about 20 pounds” since starting a vegan diet, oozed confidence as he stepped out in a bright orange T-shirt with white shorts. 

The music mogul’s longtime love, 41, looked as gorgeous as always in a black and white striped top paired with white skinny jeans. The couple showed off their expensive taste as they carried large shopping bags filled with toys for their adorable youngster. Eric, who sported a pair of denim shorts and a white T-shirt, seemed happier than ever about his afternoon outing as he skipped out of the store with a beaming smile.

In March, the America’s Got Talent judge opened up about his choice to go on an animal product-free diet. “I went to see this guy who’s very well known. And he said to me after doing some blood work, ‘You can’t have red meat, dairy, sugar, bread or gluten,’” Simon explained to the outlet. “I’m thinking, ‘What about alcohol?’ He said, ‘Maybe not quite as much as you had before.’ And I did it and I stuck to it and it’s easy.”

Simon also credited Eric for being his inspiration behind healthy eating habits. “Apart from ice cream, he actually likes water [and] eats all his raw vegetable,” he adorably dished. “I’m on the Eric Cowell diet.” Aww!

Since welcoming his first child with his socialite girlfriend, fans have come to know and love a much kind, gentle Simon. According to a source close to the couple, Simon isn’t the only one surprised by his changed demeanor. “He’s madly in love with his son,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly last June. “He’ll openly tell his friends his intense feeling he has for Eric. He’s turned into a big softie with him.”
