She’s got his back. Sandra Bullock‘s boyfriend, Bryan Randall, credited her for being his “greatest supporter” after he recently celebrated his 15th year of sobriety, an insider exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “They are best friends and partners.”

Sandra’s friends are “happy” that she’s found someone who makes her smile, especially since she went through a tough divorce with her ex-husband Jesse James, in 2010. “She’s been through so much,” the insider adds.

Jesse and the Gravity star were married for five years before calling it quits. Once their divorce was finalized, Sandra, 56, reportedly started dating Bryan, 54, in 2015. By that time, the photographer had a good handle on his sobriety, and once Sandra thought he was fit enough to be around her family, she introduced him to her two kids — Louis, 10, and Laila, 8.

They have a “quiet, happy life” together,” the source shares about Sandra, her beau and her children. “The kids consider Bryan their father and he calls them his children. They’re a happy little family.”

Sometimes, the Portland, Oregan, native would “play sports” with his beloved’s kids outside. He “loves to be active” with them, the insider reveals, and during the coronavirus pandemic, the trio have had plenty of time to bond. Bryan and Sanda got the kids “involved in donating masks and writing letters of support to frontline workers,” the insider shares. “It’s very sweet. They make sure the children are well balanced and don’t live a ‘Hollywood’ life.”

Having her kids be humble is something that’s very important to Sandra. In December 2019, she “deliberately downsized Christmas” so that Laila and Louis could know how blessed they are.

“Sandra used to go all out for the holidays, tons of gifts and decorations, but last year she and Bryan changed all that,” a second source previously told Closer. “Louis and Laila only [got] three gifts each, which is plenty when you realize some children get nothing.”

Although it was new to them, Laila and her brother didn’t complain. They “may be young, but they get it,” the insider revealed, and since Bryan’s still in the picture, they can learn many more life lessons from him too.
